NPR is out with its latest iPhone app, NPR Music, bringing its “original and inventive content” to all the Apple handset (and iPod Touch) users out there.
Among the features include in the app, we highlight:

- Ability to browse music by genre and set favorites for later quick access.

- NPR’s programs and popular series such as “Live in Concert” from “All Songs Considered,” Mountain Stage, “Exclusive First Listen” and JazzSet with Dee Dee Bridgewater.
- Customizable playlist that caches selected programs and stories. Very cool for saving some bandwidth costs or when there’s no connection around.
- iOS 4 compatible, allowing background audio!
