Motorola got itself a new HR guy, Scott A. Crum, who was appointed as senior vice president, Human Resources, for the Mobile Devices and Home business. Starting from July 19th, Mr. Crum will lead the Mobile Devices and Home HR team.

Crum joins Motorola from ITT Corporation where he served as senior vice president and director of Human Resources, and was also at ITT’s Strategic Council. Before that, he was the head of human resources for General Instrument Corporation and became corporate VP, Human Resources, when that company was acquired by Motorola. Prior to joining General Instrument, Crum held a number of HR roles at Northrop Grumman, LTV and Dresser Industries.

Crum holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University. According to Moto’s co-CEO Sanjay Jha, as the company continues to grow (and separate its divisions), it needs a talented and accomplished HR professional with Board experience like Scott.
