After a stock shortage following their initial offer, Best Buy has confirmed that as of yesterday they’re taking pre-orders again for the Motorola Droid X on Verizon. Best Buy says there’s still no confirmed launch date, but we’re pretty sure it’ll be available on the 15th. If already got on the HTC Incredible boat, Verizon is willing to switch you to Droid X preorders instead.
The Motorola’s latest and greatest has a luxurious 4.3″ 854 x 480 touchscreen, Android 2.1, 1 GHz processor, HDMI-out, and 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p video recording. In a lot of ways, it strikes me as an alternative to the HTC EVO 4G, especially for those who would rather have Verizon’s coverage than Sprint’s WiMAX. Take a look at our hands-on video and impressions of the Droid X and our Droid X review for a closer inspection.
When it does launch, the Droid X will be going for $199 on a two-year contract with Verizon.
