We’ve almost missed this, but it’s important so we’re going with it few days later.
Verizon Wireless has launched mSpot Radio in partnership with mSpot, providing access to a wide selection of music to its multimedia phone owners (not just those with smartphones).
In total, the mSpot app works with 60 Verizon phones that use Qualcomm’s Brew platform. Users can browse content, including nationally recognized talk shows, access recently played stations and bookmark favorite stations. Additionally, there’s the Personal Radio function that allows customers to create their own stations with music from their favorite artists. You do that by skipping, banning or hearting stations and mSpot does the rest, compiling music that feets your taste. Finally, there’s an option to download songs either as full songs, ringtones or ringback tones.
mSpot Radio rocks more than 70 genre stations that include pop, urban, R&B, hip-hop and latin, as well as more than 440 local radio stations from major markets. Stations are updated weekly to feature new releases and hits, plus there’s the Ten Spot station, featuring the music of different new artists each week. mSpot content partners include ABC, FOX Sports, NPR, Disney, SportingNews, MarketWatch, PRI, Rooftop Comedy, and The Onion Radio News…
