Those of you who have been enjoying the Korean version of the Samsung Galaxy S will be happy to hear that an update to Android 2.2 is headed your way in August, according to the latest rumours. Of course, T-Mobile’s launching their version in two days, and we can only cross our fingers that the same update will come to North America in good time.
Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile all have their own variants of the Samsung Galaxy S, but they all boast some key, beefy specifications: 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, 4″ Super AMOLED touchscreen, 3G (WiMAX in Sprint’s case), Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 5 megapixel camera. The Vibrant, Fascinate, Captivate, and Epic all pack Android 2.1, but 2.2 has a few new tricks, like Flash support, Wi-Fi hotspot sharing, a revamped photo gallery, and slightly tweaked home screen.
