How would you like it if Sir Richard Branson showed up at your door, with a replacement BlackBerry for the one you busted the other day? That’d be pretty cool, wouldn’t it? Well, that’s exactly what happened to Virgin Mobile subscriber Adam Morrison the other day.
As a part of their PR campaign to unveil their new ‘red glove service’, Sir Richard Branson showed up to Adam’s door with a shiny new BlackBerry in-tow. Adam was clearly in shock, and I can’t blame the guy.
The red glove service, which is currently a pilot project in Toronto only, delivers replacement phones to members. The service is a huge convenience for sure. Heck, Virgin Mobile staffers will even setup your device for you, move all of your contacts and important info over to your new device, and make sure things are A-OK before they leave the scene. That’s what I call customer service!
Be sure to check out the video after the break. Should be interesting to see how well the pilot project goes. Seems like a lot of work for Virgin Mobile staffers… will the pilot program stick?
