Vlingo continues to improve its voice-activated apps and the Android version will now include a “SuperDialer” to make calling easier.

Vlingo SuperDialer is sort of like the Genius button on the myTouch 3G Slide on steroids: tap the widget and then tell it what you want to call. Voice dialing is nothing new but this integrates with your phone and the mobile Web to allow you to dial things quickly even if you don’t have the exact number.

Pizza’s great, we all love it. I tried out the SuperDialer to acquire some of this cheesy goodness and it will give you different options depending on how you phrase the request, what’s in your contact list and even where you are. This could be especially useful if you’re on the road, I would imagine.

“Consumers who have experienced the convenience and safety of Vlingo have asked for more ways to use it on the go,” said Dave Grannan, president & CEO, in a prepared statement. “Adding SuperDialer was a natural progression to the product. With Vlingo, people no longer need to use a phone book, call 411 or search the web just to call a business. Instead you can just say what you want to do and we turn your words into actions.”

The voice-recognition space is only going to get hotter as Apple recently purchased Siri and Google continues to invest in this for advertising purposes (good voice recognition can give you a ton of demographic information that can be combined with location for powerful ad opportunities). I spoke with Vlingo a few days ago and saw some of its future products and think it has a chance to make some waves.

The company is looking at Android as its innovation platform due to its openness and the new features will roll out other platforms eventually. The app is available now for Android 2.0 and higher and it costs $9.99 for all the voice functionality. Existing paid users get the SuperDialer in an update. Try it out and let us know what you think.
