Mobile application focused event APPCON is cancelled

We regret to inform you that the first mobile app focused event, APPCON, has been cancelled. Here’s what we got via email:

It is with great disappointment that APPCON must postpone its 2010 event . We look forward to providing updated event details as soon as we finalize the schedule for a more appropriate time when the industry can better support this groundbreaking event. We at APPCON wish to thank those speakers, sponsors and partners who lent their support for this enterprising concept, and we are eager to bring this exceptional professional development and expo program to you in the future.

It seems they weren’t able to find sufficient sponsors. Many companies are still struggling and I guess that was the reason for not agreeing to participate in the event. We can only hope this won’t kill APPCON entirely, but will only postpone it for the next couple of months. As soon as we hear something new, you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned…
