The Motorola Droid X has been such a huge hit for both Verizon and Motorola, that we can only expect the Droid 2 will be living up to expectations, too. Looking at the screen capture above, you might be thinking, “Wait, I thought this was about the Droid 2? That’s the Droid X!” You’d be correct, but if you take a closer look on the lower right-hand side, you’ll notice something a little odd. While those are clearly Droid X handsets pictured, the products show Droid 2 cases by Rocketfish.

Best Buy has been known to get screwy with images even though the advertised products are accurate, so I’m thinking that the products advertised could very well be cases for the Droid 2 even though the Rocketfish cases are pictured on the Droid X. Clicking on the links, however, will take you to dead or non-existent pages that simply say, “Sorry, the page you requested was not found.” If they were Droid X cases by Rocketfish, I’m sure it would have taken me straight there.

The only things that can be gleaned from this is that the Droid 2 will be launching soon, which is no surprise to anyone here, but that Best Buy will also be carrying the Droid 2 when it does launch. If the Motorola Droid X is any indicator, pre-orders might be available as well. If that’s the case, you definitely want to keep your eyes peeled for availability since the latest from Motorola sold out its first day on the market.

While this isn’t hard evidence by any means, it certainly points to Best Buy sporting the Android powered handsets at launch.
