After releasing its app for the iPhone, iPad and BlackBerry – TIME.com is going for the Android smartphone users. Since Google’s mobile platform is more open than BlackBerry OS and iOS, this version also allows users to put pieces of the TIME.com content on their phone’s homescreen using a small or large widget and eventually have quick access to the content section they [users] care the most.
Speaking of content, the magazine/website’s award-winning content is still there in its entirety — including photos, lists, quotes, video clips and more — and can be searched from within the app.
You can listen to TIME.com podcasts while browsing other content and/or even when using some other application. Each article, photo or video can be shared via Facebook, Twitter and email. Finally, you can save and even download articles you like for offline reading.
To download TIME.com on your smartphone, simply search for “TIME Mobile” in the Android Market and take it from there…
