Slacker announced the addition of ABC News to the mix, providing listeners with access to a dedicated news station covering national, world, sports, politics, entertainment, business and tech news. Moreover, there’s the option to include headline news for top of the hour updates on any Slacker Radio station.

In addition to news, there are segments from ABC News programs, including “Good Morning America” anchored by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Juju Chang and Sam Champion; “Nightline” anchored by Terry Moran, Cynthia McFadden and Martin Bashir and much more.

Of course, listeners will be able to create a more personalized experience by selecting specific stories they want to hear, similar to the song skipping on music stations.

Users of the free Slacker Basic Radio service can try the ABC News service for up to 14 days risk-free, while Slacker Radio Plus subscribers ($3.99 per month) have unlimited access to the ABC News station and headline news updates.

Slacker Personal Radio is available online and on array of mobile platforms, including the iPhone/iPod Touch, BlackBerry and Android. The ABC News station is available within the Slacker application under the “News” section.
