Rev your wallets fanboys, tomorrow the iPhone 4 launches in Canada, and Rogers is ready to take you under its wing for three years. For starters, Rogers has some special hardware upgrade options for those who have been customers since before the June 7 announcement of the iPhone 4; they can get $250 off the usual no-term price ($399 for the 16 GB, $499 for the 32 GB). If you’ve been around since before December 31 2008, you can pick up the 16 GB iPhone 4 for $159 and the 32 GB model for $269 if you sign up for a 3-year agreement, as if you were a brand new customer. Finally, Rogers is reintroducing their $30 / 6 GB data plan, and also throwing in data sharing with your iPad for an additional $20/month.
I actually picked up this promo plan when I got the BlackBerry Bold 9000 about two years ago, around the same time the iPhone 3G was coming out. It’s totally overkill for how much data I use, but it’s nice knowing you never have to worry about data usage, and can tether pretty much whenever you want. The iPad tie-in is a really good idea, especially if you find you’re capping out the $15 / 250 MB plan regularly.
You can keep an eye out for iPhone 4 stuff on Rogers over here, if you’re into that kind of thing. Just be sure to pick up a free bumper.
