After Russia, Samsung is announcing the Wave 2 (525) and Wave 2 Pro (533) in Germany, with other European markets to follow shortly (one would assume).
As you know, we’re talking about mid-range devices that run Samsung’s own Bada OS. Both phones will have the same price of 299 EUR, which is kinda weird considering that the Wave 2 Pro also rocks a full side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. Rest of the both phones’ specs are identical and include a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen, quad-band GSM connectivity, EDGE data that’s coupled with WiFi radio, GPS, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth and a microSD memory card slot. In addition, we find pre-installed apps for social networking (Facebook and Twitter), media player, web browser as well as access to Samsung Apps, which is the Korean company’s application store.
The next step for Samsung may be to create the Wave Pro, a device that would keep the specs of the original Wave smartphone and include a QWERTY keyboard, like the one Wave 2 Pro has. Now that would be something. 🙂
