Blackboard launched Blackboard Mobile Learn for Blackberry, Android and iPhone OS powered devices across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, bringing two-way teaching and learning to millions of students.
Available as a free download, Blackboard Mobile Learn app is envisioned to recreate and enrich the course experience of online teaching and learning platform – Blackboard Learn. Using it, students can check grades and assignments, email their classmates and instructors, add discussion board comments and blog posts and more.
As you may know, the company’s existing Blackboard Mobile Central application (available for the iPhone and BlackBerry devices, and through mobile web) already delivers a “mobile campus experience,” including news, events, maps and sports amongst a range of student life and service options. In a nutshell, Blackboard’s mobile offering is made to bring learning experience outside of the classroom and we definitely like it. 🙂
