The Motorola Droid 2 is really testing our patience. First, it was the picture of cases on the Best Buy website, and then it was the cases themselves arriving at stores. Now, we see the Android handset coming in the form of dummy phones to Best Buy. While there are no solid release dates yet, this surely means “any day now” as the mega electronics retailer gets ready to put up accessories and set up a display.

Perhaps next we can expect Droid 2 pre-sales before the device officially goes up on sale, but it doesn’t seem like it can come soon enough. So, for those of you who held off on a Droid X, or maybe you just couldn’t get one since it was and has been sold out, the Droid 2 is worth a look. After all, it showed some pretty impressive benchmark tests compared to other Android handsets out there.
