AT&T is gearing up to launch its new U-Verse Mobile application for the Apple iPhone on August 9th. Demoed at CTIA 2010 in Las Vegas, the mobile application will provide U-Verse customers with the ability to browse TV schedules, setup and manage DVR recordings, and even download content from a specially selected mobile library to watch later on their iPhone.

Unfortunately, limitations are present and this new download and watch feature will require both a WiFi connection and a compatible U-verse U300 or U450 package. To sweeten the pot and lessen the sting of these requirements, AT&T is throwing in a $75 iTunes gift card for all new or existing iPhone customers who sign up for one of these premium plans between August 9th and November 6th.

Interested folks should be able to snag the free U-Verse Mobile application from the App Store starting on Monday. Any AT&T broadband customers with an iPhone excited to be able to tap into their U-Verse content and watch their favorite TV shows while on the go?

too bad I have an Android, or this would be a sweet app!

I've been waiting for this app.

I completely love having the application for TV everywhere. I work at DISH and have TV everywhere with them and I love it. I can control my DVR recordings, watch all the programming I subscribe to and I can watch it live. Being able to have this ability to control my DVR is great for me because I’m never at home on time to watch my favorite shows.
