If our hands-on video of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 hasn’t whet your palate for RIM’s first slider, maybe some smoothly-crafted TV marketing will. AT&T has started hitting the airwaves to build up hype for the lighting of the Torch this Thursday. The device packs RIM’s brand new OS 6, along with an VGA touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with flash and autofocus, Wi-Fi b/g/n, world-capable HSPA 3G, and GPS. OS 6 comes with a new Webkit browser with pinch-to-zoom, revamped user interface, universal search, and a lot more. Check out our walkthrough for the whole nine yards.
Our review unit’s coming in tomorrow, and we’ll have plenty of pictures and an unboxing video with some initial impressions for your viewing pleasure. In the meantime, here’s the ad, and you can head over to AT&T’s BlackBerry Torch 9800 landing page to sign up for e-mail notifications.
