The good folks at the Discovery Channel hit me up from time to time with some solid app news. Today was no different. They dropped some info on me regarding a new app for Android users… and it is a freebie that many will enjoy for sure. That is, if you’re into ‘Animal Planet’!
The Animal Planet app for Android features top-quality videos from your favorite Animal Planet shows, including ‘Pit Boss‘, ‘River Monsters‘ and ‘Whale Wars‘. Inside you’ll find not only great video pieces, but amazing photo galleries, show schedules, on-air talent bios, quizzes, and a heck of a lot more.
To get started, simply pop open the Android Market and do a search for ‘Animal Planet’. Like I mentioned earlier, it’s a freebie… and if you love Discovery Channel programming, I have a pretty good feeling that you’re going to like this one. Enjoy!
Note: For what it’s worth, ‘Deadliest Catch‘ and ‘Mythbusters‘ have their own apps too (The Deadliest Catch is for BlackBerry, while the ‘Mythbusters’ have their own iPad and iPhone apps).
