Microblogging service Tumblr is expanding on its BlackBerry and iPhone apps, having quietly released one in the Android Market today. Tumblr lets you quickly post audio, video, pictures, text, links and more right from your phone to your blog.
Tumblr’s built for short bite-sized posts that are easily shareable and likeable for those in the network. Given the pithy nature Tumblr sites, mobile seems like a natural fit, although there is competition in that area. Posterous is another popular microblogging service that lets you post by e-mail, but they don’t have a mobile app… yet. WordPress is also available on Android for those who make more full-bodied blogs.
