The Nokia N8 is now available for pre-order from Nokia’s web stores in France, Poland and Germany from where super-eager Nokia/Symbian enthusiasts can secure their units for 459, 469 and 479 EUR, respectively. I’m not sure why there’s such a price difference between the mentioned EU member states, but I guess Nokia’s sales folks know what they’re doing (or do they?).
Folks that pre-order the Symbian^3 powered device in France are not only getting the best deal, but will also be the first to try it out — Nokia’s French site said the phone is coming “at the end of August.” The Polish web store, on the other hand, says it’s coming at the “end of September,” while Germans will have to wait for the “third quarter” — there are no specific dates (months) mentioned.
As you may know, the Nokia N8 is also available for pre-order in Italy for 469 EUR (or $610)…
And we do expect the price to go down within a month or so…
