M-3 Information is “porting” a piece of its mymoodmonitor.com website (M-3 Checklist) to an iPhone app called mym3. The application brings the validated mental health questionnaire to the palm of your iHand, creating a “bridge between user responses and recommendations set forth in the content-rich M3 website application.”
According to M-3 Information’s press release, this kind of an app has the potential to greatly improve the “dynamics of healthcare delivery for individuals who might otherwise suffer in silence.” Among the especially targeted groups are, among others, college students and military populations.
In addition to the mentioned questionnaire, there’s the ever useful one-button link to Mental Health America’s National Suicide Hotline, which I’m hoping you’ll never have to tap.
Price wise, the mym3 app costs $2.99 and M-3 Information will contribute a portion of the proceeds to Mental Health America, which is a nice thing to do.
Finally, the press release ends with commitment to release Android and BlackBerry apps in the near future.
