RIM’s next big device, the BlackBerry 9670, code-named Oxford is looking close to a launch on Sprint, and now it looks like RIM is busy showing it off to other partners. A bunch of slides providing a full tour of the device has leaked with all the gritty details, so here are the hard specs from what looks like a reliable source:

  • 175.5 x 60 x 18.5 mm
  • 460 x 400 internal display, 240 x 320 external
  • Optical trackpad and QWERTY keyboard
  • External display shows notifications, caller ID, and clock
  • 8 GB microSD memory card included
  • A-GPS
  • 5 megapixel camera with continuous autofocus, face detection and image stabilization
  • BlackBerry OS 6

No big surprises there, but it’s good to see the Oxford trundling towards a public release. The form factor’s probably an even bigger departure for RIM than the Torch 9800‘s sliding style, but that allure will probably not be enough to counteract the cool reception of the BlackBerry 6 operating system.
