Spice Mobility has recently unveiled three Android-powered products in India. All three devices rely on Qualcomm’s 3G chips and (obviously) Google’s open-source OS.
One of the three, Mi-300 handset, is already available for Rs. 9,990, with two other devices — Mi-410 with a 4.1-inch and Mi-700 mobile internet tablet with a 7-inch touchscreen — set to debut after couple of months.
Unfortunately we don’t have the full specs sheet at the moment. We do, however, have words of Dilip Modi (Spice Mobility Managing Director) who said: “Our devices will have pre-embedded content and applications developed by Spice Digital, our VAS business and Spice Labs, our mobile internet and applications business, retailed exclusively through Spice HotSpot stores across India to begin with, so as to offer an integrated mobility experience.”
Now I wonder whether we’ll ever see any of Spice’s products hitting the stores of the Western world. We’re always glad to have a new entrant in the space. 😉
