Layar is pushing to the new platform – Samsung’s bada. The popular augmented reality browser is now available to more users with Samsung Wave smartphones. The Korean company’s first bada-powered handset definitely has the horse-power for the task, packing a 1GHz CPU and the beautiful Super AMOLED WVGA (480×800 pixels) touchscreen.
As you know, Layar works on top of the camera view, showing interesting spots and information as you walk around. You can use it to locate a nearby restaurant, cafe, hotel, metro station or some other point of interest and read all about it from Wikipedia; or just to see what people around you are Tweeting about. Moreover, there are new Layars being released all the time, making sure you get the information pretty much about any place or event you’re visiting/attending.
Layar for bada joins existing Layar apps for the iPhone and Android. You can get it free of charge from Samsung Apps (link below).
