Fans of the HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography will be glad to know that the TrueHDR app has been updated to sing along the iPhone 4. As you can imagine, it was a better camera and Retina display iPhone 4 sports that prompted developers to upgrade their baby. In addition, the updated TrueHDR comes with better image alignment and more natural looking results.
Those unfamiliar with the technology should know that HDR images combine two or more pictures taken at different exposures and then using the process called tone mapping create a new image that displays more detail in the darker areas while restraining the areas that are too bright.
In addition to TrueHDR, there is also another iPhone app that works in a similar fashion – Pro HDR. Both apps cost $1.99 so at the end it’s a matter of personal preferences which of the two you will end up using. AppStore links are below…
