Just thought I’d throw out some dates to remember. First off there’s Nokia World, due to take place on September 14th and 15th in London. You bet your sweet ass they’ll be devices announced, and we’re hoping the leaked N9 that we saw earlier this month is one of them. If not at Nokia World then hopefully at the first ever MeeGo Conference, scheduled to take place exactly 2 months later in Dublin.
Now what about Meego? According to to the project’s official wiki page, version 1.1 of the Intel-Nokia lovechild is due to hit the web between October 21 and October 27 of this year. The next version, 1.2, is supposed to hit the market between April 21 and 27 2011. That’s a 6 month gap, similar to how the popular Linux distribution Ubuntu releases their updates.
What will be in MeeGo 1.1? And what about 1.2? No idea, but at least you’ve got some dates to put into your calendar.
