Comcast has just announced a partnership with Novatel Wireless, maker of the popular MiFi card you can grab from Sprint, Verizon or Virgin Mobile. Comcast will now support the Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot and Ovation MC760 USB modem for its High-Speed 2go plans. The Ovation MC760 is touted by Novatel and Comcast as the world’s smallest EV-DO Rev. A broadband stick, perfect for those of you concerned about having a big, honkin’ data stick poking out from the side of your computer.

The MiFi card, as you’re almost undoubtedly familiar with, is about credit card size – thin and small – and works by connecting to your device via Wi-Fi. It has 40 hours of standby time and can manage up to four hours of active use, which should get you through half your work day.

If you’re curious about the High-Speed 2go plans from Comcast, you’ll have to check to see if services are offered in your area through its website. For more details, see the next page for the full press release.
