The Weather Channel App for iPhone Updated to Version 3.0

The Weather Channel, One of the best (if not the best) weather apps for iPhone was updated the other day, and I figured it was worth a mention here. This latest version brings the app up to version 3.0, and it packs a couple of very new features.

First of these new features is something called Hurricane Central. If you live in a zone affected by hurricanes or tropical storms, Hurricane Central will bring you all of the latest must-have news… right to your iPhone. Very handy and important for sure. Check the latest developments, radar maps and more as that terrible storm approaches.

Second is a feature that is probably not-so-crucial, but still, many will get a kick out of it. The Weather Channel has added Facebook integration into their app, allowing you to post weather information to your wall.

All-in-all, The Weather Channel for iPhone is a win. The free version does include ads, but if you can look past that, there’s lots of goodness. View detailed radar maps full-screen, check local conditions for the moment, the hour, or even 10 days from now. Heck, the app even pinpoints your location on launch to bring you accurate conditions for your current location. There’s lots to explore.
