Don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of audiobooks. I listen to them when in a gym, when doing dishes, cleaning around the house and all those other “brainless” activities, if ya know what I mean. So I’m personally glad to report that the Audible application is now available for the Android platform!
As you can imagine, the dedicated app removed the need for a Windows/Mac client as you can download audiobooks directly from your Android device. You can browse through chapters, bookmark favorite places in the audiobook and earn badges along the way. Moreover, there are insider information about author events and more with the Audible Newsfeed. Finally, social networking integration is included, meaning you can share what you’re listening to with your friends via Twitter and Facebook.
Audible for Android works on virtually all Android-powered smartphones, starting from version 1.x and greater. You can search for it in the Android Market and download it for free.
