After successfully launching Clubcard and the Winefinder mobile apps, Tesco announced its first ever shopping app for the iPhone, allowing customers to shop for groceries while on the go.
Once downloaded, customers who have registered with tesco.com groceries will be able to access their home store’s product range and their “Favourites,” which are items purchased online or from a Tesco store using a Clubcard.
You can log into you grocery account and add forgotten items to the basket, or start a new order from scratch — the updated order synchronises from phone to computer and vice versa.
In addition, you can book a delivery slot, search for and browse products (by department, shelves, aisles, etc), check nutritional and storage info (where available), and finally, checkout from the comfort of your iPhone.
Now if this doesn’t add convenience in your book, it definitely does in mine. Unfortunately, it’s a UK-only service at the moment – we still have to do the grocery shopping from our computers or even worse – walk/drive to the store. 🙂
UPDATE: Tesco Groceries is also available for some Nokia smartphones – download link is below.
