LG hosted a texting competition in the US and, not surprisingly, a 13-year old girl walked away with the title and a cash prize of $50,000. Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Brianna Hendrickson won the competition, in the final round by texting: “Old McDonald had a farm, Ei, ei, oh! And on this farm he had a champ. W/a txtr here, and BFF there. Here a text, there a text, erywhere a text-text!”
Competing against three other female entrants in this final showdown, the reigning LG texting queen tapped out those 148 characters in a mere 60 seconds without cheating, oops, using Swype. Before you start asking, all this tapping and texting was performed on an LG-branded Ally, of course. Brianna’s competition had little chance to beat this texting aficionado as the 13-year old reportedly sends on average 7,000 text messages a month. That is about 233 “Kthanxbai” a day coming from someone who is still in junior high.
