Samsung announced the latest member of the Bada family – Wave 575 (GT-S5750). This is the 6th Bada OS-powered smartphone with specs very similar to the Wave 525 aka Wave 2. The difference between the two is that the 575 supports HSDPA data, whereas the 525 only supports EDGE.
Rest of the features are pretty much the same and include such things as a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen, WiFi 802.11n connectivity, A-GPS, 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Samsung Apps, 100MB of internal memory that’s further expandable with microSD cards.
Also similar to the Wave 525 model are the color options – the Wave 575 will be available in black, white and pink.
As for the availability, it is set to hit Sweden first in mid-November and then the rest of Europe soon afterwards. I would expect Samsung to make this baby widely available just in time for the Christmas shopping season…
Other Samsung Bada smartphones, not mentioned in this article, include the original Wave, Wave 2 Pro, Wave 723 and Wave II.
