The entry-level BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 was announced on Verizon a few weeks ago, with promises of a fuchsia version in the future.Well, happy day, the 9330 has arrived on Verizon, though there’s no sign of the more subdued “charcoal” version in the online store.
Besides running on CDMA rather than GSM networks, the 9330 is a lot like the 9300. They both have a QVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, 624 MHz processor, and run OS 5 with promised upgradeability to OS 6. The single distinguishing feature from the 9300 is the doubled app memory (512 MB rather than 256 MB). The 9330 doesn’t have Wi-Fi n, but that’s probably not a dealbreaker for too many people.
Those of you disposed towards such eye-stabbingly bright colours can find the fuchsia BlackBerry 9330 online over here for $29.99 on a two-year contract. If you’ve got a friend on Verizon looking for a new BlackBerry, there’s a “buy one, get one free” promo running on the Curve 3G right now, just be sure to take a look at our review before signing that contract.
