RIM has just launched a new branded Bluetooth headset called the HS-300. It’s much tinier and cheaper than the HS-700 that launched a few months ago. Beyond portability, it features voice prompts for battery levels, automatic volume changing, and an impressive 15-minute charge time for two hours of talk. On a full charge, the headset can provide 4 hours of talk.
In my experience, the one-button design can be a little frustrating when you haven’t figured out when to double-tap or when to long-press or if you’re supposed to wait for two beeps or three, but once that’s all sorted, the unified design can be really nice.
