A week ago we talked about the Vertu Constellation Quest and voila now we caught the device at the FCC. From all the documents presented, User’s Manual included, we got some additional details to share.
First of all, it’s a smartphone with Symbian S60 running the show. As Stefan pointed out, the Quest’s guts come partly from either the Nokia E71 or E72. However, the device doesn’t come with a plain vanilla version of the S60 UI — there are some really nice lookin’ icons on board along with Vertu-specific apps and services.
Moreover, the Quest is a quad-band 3G (HSPA) phone that works pretty much all over the globe, wherever GSM signal is available. Rest of the specs includes WiFi connectivity, GPS (with Ovi Maps), some camera (most likely 5-megapixel) with dual-LED flash, 3.5mm headset jack and a 32GB microSD memory card pre-installed.
As for the pricing, the Vertu Constellation Quest starts at $7,910 (5,000 GBP) and goes way up to $27,380 (17,300 GBP), depending on the materials used.
