Verizon is running a limited trial for a $69.99 unlimited plan right now. Participants get $20 credit towards their wireless bill for giving the plan a shot, but have to tack on a year to their contract. The “Talk and Text Plus Data Promotion” includes unlimited data, unlimited text, and 450 voice minutes. If you have a family of hungry mobile enthusiasts to feed, there’s a SharePlan for $139.99 that Verizon is also trying out, which includes 1400 anytime minutes, in addition to unlimited texting and data. Both plans have unlimited calling between Verizon handsets.
Details about when (or if) Verizon will roll this plan out to the public is still up in the air, but seeing it’s still in testing, it would be surprising to see it before the holidays. There was a rumour last week that Verizon was also testing out unlimited voice for calls between cell phones on any carrier, so it sounds like Verizon’s still trying to figure out how to compete with Sprint’s Simply Everything.
Anyway, you can go ahead and try calling that number above, but odds are that unless you got an e-mail invite, you’re only shot of getting in on the promo is if you’re in one of the test areas.
