Dell Streak hits Rogers, Canadian Android fans go nuts!

Have you been sitting around in the Great White North waiting for a reason to splurge on a new Android handset in the neighborhood of around $549.99 without a contract? Perfect, because the Dell Streak is now hitting Rogers and it’s coming to you contract free. Of course, it costs a little extra without the subsidy, but it’s either those extra bucks or the painful 3-year contracts you might have grown to loathe.

In case you aren’t familiar with the Streak, it’s a 5-inch display rocking Android 2.1 (depending on your carrier). It has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5MP camera, VGA front-facing camera for video calls and 3G and Wi-Fi capabilities. The only catch here if you’re looking to buy one in Canada is that Dell is selling models of the Streak that work only for Rogers. I’m sure you hackers can find some way to get around that, but for every day folk, you’re bound and limited to that one carrier.
