HootSuite for iPad

Having been in full out beta mode for some time now, I’ve been keeping my eye on HootSuite for iPad… Honestly, I couldn’t wait for it to hit the App Store. You know where this is going, right? That’s right, HootSuite for iPad is now available for download.

If you’ve never used this powerful tool, it basically lets you send messages, monitor conversations and more, all from a variety of social networks. For business it’s great for scheduling your tweets and updating your Facebook page. A handy tool  for sure if you have a lot of accounts (both personal and business) and would prefer to manage them all in one place.

HootSuite for iPad packs the following key features:

  • Manage Twitter accounts, lists, and search streams
  • Update Facebook Profile and Business/Fan Pages
  • Check-in and shout via your Foursquare account
  • Translate messages to/from 50+ languages
  • Schedule messages to send in the future
  • Examine Ow.ly click-through stat reports
  • Add geo-location coordinates to messages
  • Share and store photos and files
  • Shorten web addresses with Ow.ly

…and if you were wondering, YES, this is very compatible with your web account. All you need to do is download the app, and run the migration wizard to get setup. Its that easy.

Go ahead and ‘get a magical owl’ on your iPad today. I can’t wait to give it a try…my initial concerns with this one is speed. Often times, with HootSuite open in a desktop browser, things can get a little laggy (to say the least). Should be interesting to see how the app performs.
