Samsung Wave 723 is now available in Germany. The price is 349 EUR, which is kinda steep for a device running Bada OS. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve nothing against Samsung’s own mobile OS, it’s just that you can’t find that many apps for it. Moreover, I don’t see developers getting excited about the prospects of the new platform.
Anyway, the Wave 723 comes with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, 5-megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headset jack and of course a microSD memory card slot. As for the pre-installed apps, there’s a decent web browser (though not as good as Safari or Android Browser), media player and clients for popular social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
In addition to the Wave 723, another Bada smartphone is set to hit Europe this month – its more powerful brother Wave II.
Finally, after Germany I would expect to see Samsung pushing its Bada phones to the other countries across the continent…
