Sony Reader coming to iPhone and Android in December

It took quite some time, but now Sony Reader and the Reader Store are available for iPhone or iOS devices and on Android. You can browse and shop titles from within the app, and access the eBooks from either your iPhone, Android device, PC or your Reader. Like other eReader apps, you can bookmark your place, highlight passages, take notes and adjust font size so you can read a little easier if your eyesight is as bad as mine.

Of course, unless you already own a Sony Reader, you’ve probably already picked up the Amazon Kindle for iPhone or Android by now, or perhaps the Barnes & Noble Nook. Hell, if you’re an iPhone user maybe you’ve been rocking iBooks.

Wanna pick up the app just for kicks to have an alternative to what you already have? Or maybe you have tons of titles on your Sony Reader and you’d like to view content on your iPhone or Android while on the go. Keep your eyes peeled for when the app becomes available some time next month.

Until then, Happy Thanksgiving! (For those of you in the States, anyway. Otherwise, Happy November 25!)

Well, here it is, New Year’s Eve and neither hide nor hair of an iPhone, iPad or iPodTouch reader application. To the question who needs another e-reader app, it is really more a matter of being able to read all of your previously purchased ePub from Sony on other devices (i.e. other than the Sony eReader).
Tempus Fugit, and revenue does too, Sony. I’m not buying anymore ePub from Sony until they have a reader application.
