I love me some lamps as much as the legendary Brick Tamland. That’s why, when I laid eyes on the beauty you see above, I almost went into shock. Combine my love of the iPhone with my ongoing love affair of lamps, and what you get is a nerdtastic explosion of geeky goodness. Or something.
Made out of ceramic, this stylish lamp is not only there to give light where there is none, it doubles as an iPhone dock as well. Cool! Made to fit your iPhone 4, 3GS or 3G, this one comes to us from Mylesgeyman on Etsy (you’re not surprised that this is an Etsy purchase, are you?). The ‘dock’ portion and back portion of the lamp has holes in it, making room for your sync/charge cable. Simply run the cable through the lamp, place your iOS-powered device in the cradle, connect the two, and you’re good to go.
The only downer on this one is that the actual lampshade must be purchased separately. The shade in question is the IKEA SKIRMA shade, and can be picked up for only $5.00. It comes in an array of styles and colors, so if nothing else, this gives you an opportunity to ‘build’ your iPhone-docking lamp to suit your interior design needs.
