Good news for Angry Birds fans with a Palm Pre or Pixi handset. Rovio has finally released a version of Angry Birds Seasons for webOS handsets. The Seasons edition is a Christmas-themed version that includes a new level of play each day until December 25th. Also included is the Halloween edition which debuted on iOS in October, but was not made available on the other platforms until now. Angry Birds Seasons is available now in the App catalog for $1.99. The Angry Birds franchise is growing by leaps and bounds. Rovio Mobile, the brains behind the popular game, celebrated the first anniversary of the bird-flinging game yesterday, December 11th. They day was declared Angry Birds Day by fans and events were held around the world. Rovio held a press before this anniversary and provided some new information on the past success and upcoming direction for the popular game.

Across all platforms, Angry Birds has been downloaded over 50 million times, a milestone that was reached right before its anniversary. Interest in the game is expected to increase and Rovio predicts it will reach the 100 million downloads milestone before the middle of 2011. The upcoming year will see the game land on other mobile platforms and beyond A Windows Phone version is coming soon, a PC version is under development, and Rovio has plans to bring the game to the major gaming consoles.
