NAVIGON updated its navigation app MobileNavigator for the Android platform. Version 3.5.3 adds several new functions, including:
- Address Click – ability to select an address from any app that supports address export. By clicking on an address, NAVIGON MobileNavigator will be launched to provide turn-by-turn directions.
- Contacts as Interim Destinations – contacts are now added to an existing route as an interim destination. Moreover, this release comes with improved US address recognition.
- Reality Scanner Switch – this feature can now be swapped to automatic and into permanent-off mode in the Settings.
- GSM Map Download – no longer are you limited to WiFi, though it’s still advised to download maps that way to save some cash on mobile data.
- General performance enhancements
Along with the new version launch, NAVIGON also slashed the price of the application. Instead of $59.99, they are asking for $39.99 now. This promotion has already started and ends on January 6, 2011 – so hurry up!
