Inc. magazine is going mobile with the help of Thumb Media Group. The two companies launched mobile application for the iOS and Android platforms with BlackBerry version to follow shortly.
You know how magazine and many other traditional media publishers are struggling to monetize their content? Well Inc. decided to try out the subscription model, offering its application for $2.99 per month. Included in the mix are all the editorial content from the magazine and website, breaking news, online feeds, slideshows, blog posts, social networking components and Inc. TV.
The last mention is apparently super important when we have TMG’s CEO Mike Cartabiano commenting: “Inc.’s video content is a huge draw online, so we knew the importance of carrying it over to the mobile platform.” He went on talking about their magazine mobile platform MOZINE, adding: “Just as no two magazines are the same, no two apps call for the same functionality. At Thumb Media Group, we work closely with our clients to make sure their consumers achieve the experience they seek.”
