Iomega will be presenting an interesting product at the upcoming CES in Las Vegas. The company that we usually know for their storage solutions is launching SuperHero, an iPhone dock that not only charges your beloved handset, but also backs up your contacts and photos to an SD card.

As you can imagine, in addition to the hardware component (dock), Iomega also developed an iPhone app which is automatically started the moment you dock the iPhone to the SuperHero, prompting you to either backup or restore the data. You can fine-tune what exactly you want to be saved onto an SD card, but unfortunately apps and music are not on the list due to API restrictions.

The Iomega SuperHero is compatible with the iPhone 3G and above, and iPod Touch 2nd generation and above. The device ships with a 4GB SDHC card, which we suggest replacing with a bigger one. Of course, this is in case you decide to pour out $69.99 to grab the SuperHero…
