In addition to all of the phones Verizon has already announced at the CES, more are coming. One such device will be the Samsung SCH-i520, which as you can see from the image above, looks kinda rugged.
We don’t have all the details, but we’ve heard it will be a 4G-enabled smartphone running Android 2.2. Moreover, the blogosphere is talking about a WVGA display and front-facing camera for video calls. In other words, this may be a device that competes with the Motorola i1, which is the first rugged Android smartphone…
And that’s about all we have at the moment. CES has just started but I doubt we’ll see this baby being unveiled at the event. The usual practice is to announce all products during the first day. If something “goes wrong” and some additional major product or service is launched in Las Vegas during the next couple of days we’ll definitely be giving it some space on IntoMobile, have no doubts about it. 😉
