ColorSchemer for iPhone

Color Schemer Studio has long been one of my favorite desktop apps to help me put together great color palettes with much ease. The results have always been fantastic (for me, anyways), and I’ve always been a fan of this nifty little tool… The app gets used ‘almost’ daily, so having it on board any of my iOS powered devices could come in handy… and wouldn’t you know it, the developers of ColorSchemer have built a version for iOS. Right on!

Color Schemer for iOS ‘puts over a million palettes in your pocket’. It really does. The app is supported by the 450,000+ member COLOURlovers community. Search, browse and save any of the palettes you stumble across, and use them for your own projects. You can even comment on or mark as favorite the palettes that best catch your eye.

Creating your own custom palettes within Color Schemer is easy too. You can create palettes from photos (use the camera or an existing photo from your library), or use the intuitive color wheel to build a scheme. Once a primary color is selected you can easily adjust the color wheel with harmonies and relationships to help build out the remainder of the palette… But if for some reason you’re having trouble getting the palette to look just so… no worries, because the COLOURlovers community is there to inspire and support you with idea after idea.

When you’re done creating, you can email your palettes to anyone you please, or even save them to your camera roll. You can also easily snatch the RGB and Hex color values for all colors in your palette.

For now, Color Schemer is priced at $2.99… But I’m told this is an introductory price. I have no idea when the price may jump up, so if you think you can benefit from a feature-rich color studio, pick this one up!
