Acer Liquid Mini (or that’s Liquidmini, we’re not sure) has cleared the FCC all with the 3G bands compatible with AT&T’s network. That fact, however, doesn’t mean the carrier will add it to its growing portfolio of Android smartphones – it only means that Acer did its homework and is now ready to start selling the Liquid Mini with or without the help of AT&T (unlocked).
This particular Acer’s phone won’t impress many, especially after all those dual-core devices that were announced at the CES. However, it will provide first time smartphone buyers an excellent overview of what to expect from Android.
Specs wise, the Liquid Mini comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 600MHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, while Android 2.2 Froyo is running the show. It will probably sell for around $400 unlocked, maybe even less…
