Touch Calendar is a new (and useful) Android application that shows your entire calendar on a single screen with the ability to zoom in and out, and search for your events.

Touted as the “new way to view calendars on a mobile phone,” the application is designed to make browsing events as easy as using Google Maps. Instead of having many different screens to switch between, Touch Calendar displays everything in a single zoomable, scrollable view with support for pinch-zoom. Also included in the mix is support for recurring events like those that (for instance) repeat on a biweekly basis.

Touch Calendar is available in two versions, one of which is offered as a free download. The paid one, which I suggest you to download, costs 1 GBP and it comes with the ever useful homescreen widget that provides all of the benefits listed above without the need to actually open the application. Love it!

To download it, simply search for “touch calendar” in the Android Market and take it from there. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code from the developer’s website
