We did say Virgin Mobile will offer its own version of the LG Optimus One. Obviously their device is called Optimus V and is apparently already available at select stores.

The carrier is asking $150 for the Android smartphone off-contract. That’s an awesome price offering an exceptional value for money. The reason for such an aggressive pricing seems obvious – it’s not like you will be able to use the V on some other network. Maybe on Sprint but I think that would require some hacking.

Anyway, the image above comes from one of the first buyers who was eager enough to share it with Engadget. The same guy/gal (we’re not sure) also made a short video below.

As a reminder, the LG Optimus V (and all other Optimus versions for that matter) comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G data, Bluetooth, GPS and memory expansion slot. Android is running the show…

I dont think so. it is the same size, and no slide-out keyboard. Price is better, and not sure how much 2.2 is better than 2.1 android.
